At Metolius Hemp Company, we like to do the right thing. We do so in order to bring you the best products possible, with the science to back our premium quality. From the consumer's perspective, it can be a bit overwhelming seeing the abundance of CBD products that exist on the market today. So, we’re here to help with that.
A Certificate of Analysis (COA), issued by an accredited lab, is the most reliable way to ensure the quality, safety, and efficacy of any CBD, CBG Hemp products. As the Hemp market continues to grow, there is quite a vast variety of industry standards out there. The COA will list all of the detectable cannabinoids, terpenes, microbiological levels, and even any possible contaminants in each product, including the amount and percentages. This is helpful to learn the total content of CBD, CBDa, CBG etc, in order to better understand the purity of a product. Essentially, it’s the most precise way to know if a product is of the quality it claims to be. These are also necessary to remain federally compliant, as the total THC content is listed on every COA. Please know Metolius Hemp is always below .3% for the legal limit.
We like to make it easy for our customers, so we put a QR code on the back of every individual product we sell. Simply scan the QR using your phone’s camera, and it will bring you directly to the COA for that specific product.
Reading the COA:
Each COA will specify the product in the top left of the certificate (i.e. CBD/CBG 1:1 Pre-roll). In the right-hand corner will be the batch number associated with the product, along with the specific strain(s), harvest date & expiration of the COA.
Further down the page, you will find the mass and percentages of each cannabinoid tested for, including the total THC & CBD content. This is measured in MG per G by the total weight of the product (not including the package), which is determined by Serving Size, listed just above the cannabinoid analysis. LOQ (Limit of Quantitation) is listed in the analysis as well, defining the lowest concentration of each compound that can be reliably measured - usually 1mg/g.At the bottom, you can see all of the information on the lab that tested the product. Always make sure the COA is certified by an accredited and licensed laboratory. For more questions, feel free to reach out to us: Rollwithus@metoliushemp.com.
