Normal order processing from Metolius Hemp Company LLC, from the time you order until we ship your package, can take between 1 to 3 business days. This timeline is specifically applicable to orders received and processed during a standard work week of Monday through Friday. Orders delivered from Metolius Hemp Company LLC, within the 48 contiguous states, should arrive in 3 to 5 business days from the time of ordering, depending on delivery location. Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will take an additional 2 to 3 days for delivery. Orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Due to regulations, we currently only ship within the United States.

CBG, short for Cannabigerol, is another Cannabinoid that's organically derived from hemp or Cannabis. It is known as the 'Grandmother' of all phytocannabinoids, as it is typically the first compound to form, which then leads to THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids to develop in the plant. Originally discovered in the 1960's, CBG was one of the least studied cannabinoids in Cannabis and until recently, one of the rarest - a typical Cannabis plant contains less than 1% CBG. Modern developments in Industrial Hemp have allowed us to isolate and now farm strains that are bountifully-rich in CBG. Using these new strains, hemp companies like Metolius are able to grow plants that primarily produce CBG as the main Cannabinoid, from which we harvest buds that are then dried and cured to create smokable-hemp flower. Similar to CBD and thought to be even more effective, CBG is revered for its pain-relieving properties. Our customers also use it for reducing inflammation, nausea and stress relief benefits. CBG may just be the most medicinally-impactful cannabinoid known to man!

As cannabinoids, CBD and CBG interact with the Endocannabinoid System. While THC phytocannabinoids typically only bind to our CB1 & CB2 receptors, it has been shown that CBD binds to both the CB1 and CB2 receptors as well as interacting with other biological systems in our bodies to provide a wide array of wellness benefits. CBD & THC actually have an opposite relationship when it comes to ECS receptors, as CBD is an inverse agonist to CB1 receptors; meaning CBD actually has the potential to curb negative side effects of THC when taken in unison, as it can trigger a reverse reaction from CB1 receptors. CBG is also a phytocannabinoid that binds with both the CB1 & CB2 receptors, triggering effects from the CNS (central nervous system) to relieve pain and reduce swelling, as well as encourage general wellbeing.

CBD distillate is derived directly from organic hemp flower. It includes minor Cannabinoids (such as CBD & CBG), as well as terpenes - think of these as the “spices” in the flower, as terpenes are associated with the flavor profile. From an intensive extraction process, CBD distillate leaves us with a highly-refined form of the compound with zero impurities, and turns out as a honey-like substance. Typically, distillate contains around 50-75% CBD. 

Isolate is CBD in its purest form (99%). Using traditional methods to extract only the CBD cannabinoid, stripping away all other compounds and removing phytocannabinoids (including those unwanted psychoactive substances such as THC), separating other plant matter, we are left with only CBD compounds from the hemp plant. Derived from this crystalline solid, we then create a fine powder of CBD isolate with which Metolius products are enhanced. The benefits of this extraction process leave us with a pure, isolated form of CBD which is easy to use for proper dosage, efficacy, zero THC, and more versatility.  

CBG kief, derived from the organic CBG hemp plants that we hand grow and harvest at Metolius, is the resinous trichome that is found on many types of flowers. It contains high amounts of terpenes that contribute to the potency and bold flavor profile that we strive for with all of our products. These resinous trichomes actually protect the flowers of the plant, deterring pests & insects by the potent smells & stickiness. We source 100% of our kief from the organic CBG, CBG White & Sour G, plants we grow on our own farm in Bend. Kief is often seen as a by-product in the production phase turning hemp flower into consumable products such as pre-rolls. Instead of letting this incredible substance go to waste, we decided to collect it and harness its power as part of our ‘Metolius Magic’.
